1. Overview

At Kelp Collectives, we take pride in the quality of our products. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.

This policy complies with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and applies to purchases made through our website.


2. Returns Eligibility

You may return an item if:

  • The item is unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • It is returned in its original condition
  • All tags and packaging are intact
  • The return is initiated within 7 days of delivery

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


3. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period (CPA Compliance)

In accordance with Section 44 of the Consumer Protection Act:

You may cancel your online order within 7 days of receiving the product, without providing a reason.

Conditions:

  • The product must be returned at your expense
  • The product must be in its original condition
  • You are responsible for safe return delivery

Once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be processed.


4. Faulty or Defective Products

If you receive a product that is:

  • Damaged
  • Defective
  • Incorrect
  • Not as described

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery at:

info@kelpcollectives.com

We may request photographic evidence.

If confirmed:

  • We will arrange collection at our cost
  • You may choose between a replacement or full refund

5. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of:

  • Worn headwear
  • Items with removed tags
  • Items showing signs of use

Unless the item is faulty.


6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item:

  • Contact us within 7 days
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Exchange will be processed once the original item is received and inspected

If the requested item is out of stock, a store credit or refund will be offered.


7. Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item:

  1. The product will be inspected
  2. We will notify you of approval or rejection
  3. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days

Refunds will be issued via the original payment method.

Please note:
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.


8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund:

  • Check your bank account
  • Contact your payment provider
  • Contact your bank (processing times vary)

9. Return Shipping Address

Please reach out to arrange the return address for the courier company.

We recommend using a trackable courier service.
Kelp Collectives is not responsible for lost return parcels.
