6-Month Manufacturing Defect Warranty

1. Our Commitment to Quality

At Kelp Collectives, we design and manufacture our products with performance and durability in mind.

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship.

If your product has a genuine manufacturing defect, we will make it right.


2. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers manufacturing defects for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase.

Manufacturing defects may include:

  • Faulty stitching or seam failure
  • Structural defects in the crown or panels
  • Hardware failure (e.g. buckle, clasp, adjustment strap)
  • Material separation due to workmanship
  • Significant construction flaws present under normal use

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Fabric fading due to washing or sun exposure
  • Sweat staining or odour
  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper care
  • Alterations or modifications
  • Accidental damage

This warranty applies to defects in workmanship not product lifespan under heavy use.


4. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect:

  1. Email us at:

  2. Include:
    • Your order number
    • Clear photos of the defect
    • A brief description of the issue

We may request the item be returned for inspection.


5. Resolution Options

If your claim is approved, we may:

  • Repair the item
  • Replace the item
  • Issue a store credit
  • Provide a refund

The resolution method will be determined at our discretion based on the nature of the defect and product availability.


6. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims

If a defect is confirmed:

  • Return shipping costs will be covered by Kelp Collectives.

If no manufacturing defect is found:

  • The customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

7. Proof of Purchase

This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from:

www.kelpcollectives.com

Proof of purchase is required.


8. Consumer Protection Act

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
